Ludwigia arcuata Narrow Leaf is a lovely shrub with exquisite green and scarlet leaves. This is a low-maintenance plant that adds movement and dimension to your aquarium. The thin, pointed leaves of needle leaf plants grow in opposite pairs over the entire length of the stem. Depending on the amount of iron in the water, the leaves can be green or red. This plant will branch out and offer a bushy filler for the mid- or background of your tank if pruned frequently.
Needle leaf is a versatile plant, but it requires a lot of light and nutrients to achieve the desired brilliant red hue. Plants with a high iron content will have greater red tones. This plant does not require CO2 input for culture, however, it can help it grow more robustly. The plant can be submerged or emersed in water.
The leaves, like those of other Ludwigia species, are spherical and remain green when grown emersed. The leaves become thin and orange to red depending on nutrients when grown under intense light and submerged in an aquarium. The rich red coloration can be enhanced by taking UNS Plant and iron supplements.
Cuttings from the main stem of the plant are taken and replanted into the substrate for propagation.

Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species. We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and COâ‚‚ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants. Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.Plant Format
