Cryptocoryne Wendtii ‘Brown’ is a popular and widely grown plant that is ideal for beginners. This is the Indonesian version, which is similar to the ordinary version only the leaves are darker brown and the patterns on the leaves are more pronounced. It grows at a moderate rate, similar to other Crypts, and can be grown both submerged and emergently.
Low to medium lighting is sufficient and CO₂ isn’t required but will aid in the speed of growth. Simply snip off fresh plantlets developing from the mother rhizome to propagate.
Care Tips
- Cryptocoryne prefers not to be moved once planted. If possible, do not move them!
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in the melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species. We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and CO₂ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants. Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.Plant Format
