Eleocharis vivipara is a taller version of the popular Dwarf Hairgrass and is commonly called sprouting spike rush, umbrella hair grass. This plant resembles aquatic grass, with thin stalks emerging from roots that spread horizontally through runners. When grown in huge clusters, this plant produces a striking background plant due to its enormous height.
High lighting and COâ‚‚ injection aren’t always required to develop hair grass, but they will undoubtedly speed up and thicken the foreground’s growth. Simply cut larger mats into small pieces and put them halfway into the substrate, about an inch apart. After a few weeks, the plant will shoot out runners all over the place, creating a beautiful foreground of grass.
Care Tips
- + 24 – + 25 ° C is the optimum water temperature.
- Eleocharis is fed liquid micronutrient fertilizers and CO2 to help it grow faster.
Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species. We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and COâ‚‚ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants. Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.Plant Format
