Rotala Rotundifolia 'HRA' - IC043
Rotala rotundifolia 'H'ra' is also known as Rotala Hra or Rotala sp. H'ra. It is named after the Vietnamese province of Gia Lai. When grown in a good nutritional environment with CO₂ and intense lighting, it produces stunning pink, orange, and red flowers.
Rotala h'ra is a newcomer to the hobby that adds a delicate and dramatic touch to the back or mid-ground. The leaves of this stem plant are thin, pointed red or orange leaves that grow from an ascending rather than upright stem.
These plants have the most vibrant colors when exposed to moderate to high light. This plant can be grown in either an emersed or submerged environment.
Take a cutting from one of the plant's side shoots or axial roots and replant it into the substrate to propagate it.
Care Tips
- Sufficient light (medium onwards) to get good coloration
- Avoid extreme water parameters (high alkalinity or uncycled tanks)
Plant Format
Tissue Culture
Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species.
We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and CO₂ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants.
Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.
