Marine sand is much more than just being placed on the bottom of the tank. It makes an integral part of any marine tank setup. 

Marine Sand is whitish beige and is textured like salt granules. It enhances the visual appeal of the tank it is placed in.

It helps to maintain the pH value of your aquarium to around 8.2 - 8.3. It also supports the alkalinity level.

It allows the water to flow through and prevents the formation of amoebas and bacteria in the substrate. 

The bottom-dwelling marine fish and invertebrates, such as Wrasses, Gobies, Blennies, Mandarinfishes, Shrimps, and Starfishes can build their burrows or even bury themselves in the sand.

*Must be washed thoroughly before using it in the aquarium.
