Cryptocoryne spiralis "tiger": A rare Crypt spiralis with a beautiful tiger skin pattern on the leaves giving the aquascape a "wild" look. Grows tall, therefore, suitable for background. It loves nutrient-rich substrate.

Common NameCrypt Sp Tiger

Every aquascape has a vibrant underwater forest that spreads easily.

Two fairly new varieties of Cryptocoryne spiralis called "Tiger" and "Red" first appeared on the market via ADA a few years ago.

The Spiral water trumpet, which is found in southwest India, has a large variety of forms, but only the 'Tiger' form is distinct.

Similar to Cryptocoryne albida "Brown," but growing larger and more quickly.

Its submerged leaves are more apparent than in Cryptocoryne spiralis 'Red' and are extremely narrowly lanceolate with a smooth to the wavy edge, brown-red, and dark "tiger stripes." Under the same growth conditions, it also differs from the latter by having wider, shorter, and more spreading leaves.

Care Tips:

  •  Nutrient-rich substrate and CO₂ addition are very beneficial for its growth.
  • It is not a low-light plant, the lighting should be at least moderate, and strong light enhances its showy coloration

Plant Format

Tissue Culture

Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species.

We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and CO₂ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants.

Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.
