Malaysian Driftwood is commonly known as Malaysian Blackwood or Ebony. It is indigenous to the forest of Malaysia.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s really dark in color, thick, heavy, and every piece is different from the other.<\/span><\/p>\n

The wood\u2019s appearance, density, and slow pace of decomposition have made it a must-have among hobbyists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malaysian Driftwood can have a significant impact on the surroundings in which it is placed.  The tannins from the dark driftwood will leak into the aquarium water in modest proportions. This will give the water a tea-colored tint while also substantially decreasing the PH and hardness levels. This is appropriate for tanks with a PH level of less than 7.<\/span><\/p>\n
