RS 1000 Waterfall/ Hang on Back Filter

Keep your aquarium water cleaner, clearer and better circulated with the RS 1000 Waterfall / Hang-On-Back (HOB) Filter. Designed to hang conveniently on the back of your aquarium, it provides efficient filtration while keeping valuable space inside the tank free.

The waterfall-style return creates gentle surface movement, helping improve water circulation and oxygen exchange.

Why Choose the RS 1000 HOB Filter?

• Efficient Water Filtration – Helps remove suspended particles and impurities from aquarium water.
• Waterfall Return – Creates surface agitation and improves water movement.
• Space-Saving Design – Hangs outside the aquarium, leaving more room for fish, plants and aquascaping.
• Continuous Circulation – Keeps water moving through the filter media for cleaner aquarium water.
• Great for Planted Tanks – A convenient filtration option for many planted aquarium setups.
• Easy Filter Media Access – Makes routine cleaning and media maintenance simple.
• Ideal for Home Aquariums – Suitable for hobbyists looking for a practical external filtration solution.

How It Works

The filter hangs on the rear edge of your aquarium. Water is drawn from the tank into the filter chamber, passed through the filtration media and then returned to the aquarium through the waterfall outlet.

This continuous process helps maintain cleaner water and better circulation.

Maintenance Tips

For best performance:

• Clean the filter regularly.
• Rinse filter media using removed aquarium water, rather than untreated tap water, when preserving beneficial bacteria is important.
• Check the intake for debris and blockages.
• Replace or refresh filter media as required.
• Never allow the filter to run dry.
