Microsorum Pteropus 'Krabi': Beautiful spring pools near Krabi in southern Thailand houses this Java fern variant thus the name.
 
It mostly occurs underwater in these calcareous waters. It was once sold by Tropica under the name Microsorum pteropus "Undulata," but other businesses also call it M. pteropus "Latifolia."
 
This Java fern is dense, bushy, and spreads, with wavy, light green broad leaves. It grows to about 30 centimeters in height, but most of the time stays lower.
 
This Wavy Java fern is a plant that can be used to green the hardscape in almost any aquarium. Its bushes can even be used in breeding tanks free-floating. together with the variant Cryptocoryne cordata siamensis and Vesicularia are examples. montagnei "Krabi" is a suitable plant for biotope tanks based on the spring ponds in the vicinity of Krabi.
 
It is simple to propagate by splitting the bushes. This fern doesn't need a lot of light to grow, but it does best with at least moderate lighting and an adequate supply of macro and micronutrients.
 
It can be fastened to the ground or tied to wood or rock. Its rhizomes and roots should not be planted in the soil because doing so could cause them to rot.

  • Do a fractional water change of around 25% in your aquarium, water component, or lake no less than two times every month.
  • Java Fern needs little light to grow. It cannot tolerate excessive sunlight or aquarium lights that are very bright.
