Placing Coral Natural Tree Wood (or similar driftwood/branch-style decor) in your aquarium can serve several purposes.

Aesthetic Appeal:

It gives your aquarium a natural and beautiful look, resembling a riverbed or underwater forest.

It enhances aquascaping, making the tank more visually appealing.

Hiding Places for Fish

  • Provides shelter and hiding spots for shy or territorial fish.
  • Helps reduce stress in fish by giving them a place to retreat.

Surface for Beneficial Bacteria

  • Acts as a natural biofilter, allowing beneficial bacteria to colonize and help process fish waste.

Natural Behavior Encouragement

  • Fish like plecos or shrimp may graze on the wood’s surface.
  • Some fish lay eggs or explore around branches, mimicking their natural environment.

Water Chemistry (depending on the wood)

  • Some types of wood can release tannins, slightly lowering pH and softening the water — ideal for species like tetras and discus.
  • But "Coral" and "Tree Wood" suggest two different types — coral (from marine settings) can raise pH, while natural driftwood tends to lower it. Make sure you choose the right one for your tank type (freshwater or marine).

We do a call with you once the order is placed and take you through our collection by video call or photo exchange.
