Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) is a popular freshwater aquarium moss known for its layered, triangular fronds that resemble the branches of a Christmas tree — hence the name. This aquascaping moss grows in a cascading, bushy pattern, making it ideal for creating moss walls, tree effects, and covering driftwood or rocks. It is highly valued in planted tanks for its rich green color, natural appearance, and ability to provide shelter for shrimp and fry.
