Ionantha Huamelula (wom-a-lou-la) is one of our largest ionanthas with lovely blooms. A Florida collector discovered them in Mexico a few years ago. He noticed them in a large cluster in full bloom high in the jungle’s tree canopy.
Air plants Tillandsia Huamelula are mostly green with some orangey pink, have stouts, and trichrome-covered leaves, and are about 2.5 inches tall and/or wide.
These are low-maintenance plants that can be housed in a variety of ways. They work well as a terrarium plant, house plant, indoor plant (or outside in indirect or filtered light), office plant, and complement succulent and bromeliad arrangements. Make a cool air plant terrarium, place them in an air plant holder, or get creative and come up with your own way to display them! It is entirely up to you how you present them!
Air plants are one-of-a-kind, hardy plants with easy care requirements! They do not require soil to grow and have no roots. The leaves absorb all of the nutrients and water they require.
Care tips:
Simply mist or soak your plants to water them and provide light for growth. They will eventually produce a flower and then begin to reproduce, giving rise to a slew of new plants.
