Glossostigma Elatinoides – GA-CG1 is another loved low-growing aquatic plant that is frequently used as a foreground carpet in planted aquariums.
It is one of the simpler foreground carpeting aquarium plants to grow and nurture, Glossostigma Elatinoides, also known as Glosso for short, doesn’t require a lot of knowledge.
Glosso’s development is enhanced by the addition of CO2 injection, nutrient-rich aquarium soil, and a source of nutrients from aquarium plant fertilizers, similar to the majority of carpeted aquarium plants.
Also, Glossostigma Elatinoides can be grown in a low-tech aquarium. It should be noted, that if its requirements are insufficient, it will take much longer to spread and has the propensity to grow upward to reach for light sources. Glosso is a robust grower once planted and will need regular trimming.
Care Tips
- Do not use large plants that will overshadow it.
- Light intensity should be at least 0.5 watts per liter
Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species. We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and CO₂ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants. Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.Plant Format
