Elocharis parvula – GA- CEL1Â is one of the carpeting species and is the most prevalent subcategory of aquatic plants in the vivarium niche.
The Poaceae family, usually referred to as the grass family, includes several of these species. Dwarf Hairgrass, one of the many kinds, is currently quite popular.
Elocharis parvula looks almost exactly like lawn grass. It has strands or blades rather than typical grass leaves.
Each blade is tiny, resembles a strand of hair, and performs photosynthesis. The blades are densely packed despite being so thin.
This enables the plant to develop its well-known bright and luxuriant carpet-like appearance.
Due to its look, it is typically planted as a carpeting plant. But the advantages it provides for the ecosystem also make this fauna highly sought-after.
It oxygenates the water and aids in toxin removal and nitrate level management. Additionally, little critters can use this aquatic grass as a wonderful cover or hiding place.
Care Tips
- It requires good water flow and a debris-free aquarium environment
- The water temperature should be between 50° and 85°F.
Tissue culture plants are young aquatic plants that are developed in-vitro in aquatic plant propagation laboratories. This unique cultivation ensures these plants are devoid of undesired snails, algae, and pesticides, making them completely safe for even the most delicate fish and shrimp species. We offer a diverse range of tissue cultured aquarium plant varieties. Our cultures provide substantial planting portions, and when combined with high-quality fertilizers and COâ‚‚ injection will grow into healthy aquatic plants. Just lower the root portion of the tissue culture's clump that needs to be planted directly into the soil until it is buried halfway into the aquatic soil.Plant Format
