Green rock is an Indian Granite stone and is the most widely known igneous rock that is 100% natural.
It is light green and shiny with metallic veins running through it. These rocks can help create an emerald backdrop in your aquarium.
Green rocks keep the pH levels and hardness the same as it is inert. However, if added to soft water the pH rises, when this happens the rock needs to be taken out and cleaned to remove the rusting iron minerals on the surface.
It is a very heavy rock but safe for aquariums. It helps to retain heat in the fish tanks even when the heat lights go off.
