ADA Spiky Moss – Full Pouch: Spiky moss is a Taxiphyllum variety. It grows fairly quickly and produces densely branched, deep green fronds that look like spruce branches in bright light. It tends to produce upright, fewer-branched shoots in low light.

Taxiphyllum sp. “Spiky” is one of the aquarium mosses that can grow not only underwater but also emerged on a moist substrate.

The trade names “spiky moss” and “peacock moss” were the first names given to this decorative aquarium moss with a lot of branches in Asia. In recent years, it has grown in popularity among aquarium hobbyists worldwide.

Spiky moss grows horizontally to vertically, forming densely branched shoots that are strongly flattened underwater, resembling fir branches. It has an extraordinary medium green tone.

The genus Taxiphyllum Pointed moss is a beautiful aquarium moss that grows fairly quickly and is frequently utilized in aquascaping. It grows most flawlessly when attached to roots, wood, or stones.

The moss can be kept in shape with occasional pruning. However, spiky moss has very little, if any, adhesion to surfaces. Subsequently, the old parts can tumble off after some time. The moss must then be re-glued and tied.

How to use:

1. Carefully take the plant out of the cup and wash it free from the jelly under the tap.

2. Split the plant into 6-8 portions using sharp scissors.

3. Plant portions into the substrate using tweezers. Watch them grow!
